Confidentiality undertaking
1. You must keep confidential all information received from Yarn about future issues of Yarn Magazine, and all other Confidential Information received from Yarn. You must not disclose or permit the disclosure of such Confidential Information to any other person, without the prior written consent of Yarn.
2. This confidentiality obligation continues in full force and effect even where your submission does not proceed to publication.
3. ‘Confidential Information’ means any information provided by Yarn to you, in connection with these Contributor Guidelines and upcoming editions of Yarn Magazine, and includes, without limitation, all confidential business information, documents, records, financial information, reports, intellectual property, product specifications, technical information and forecasts which relate to Yarn. Confidential Information does not include information which is in or becomes part of the public domain (other than through a breach of this undertaking by you) or which you can prove was independently acquired or developed by you without breaching this undertaking.

YARN’s Rights
1 All copyright in these Contributor Guidelines remains the property of Yarn at all times.
2 Any Intellectual Property Rights attaching to these Contributor Guidelines vest in Yarn.
Your Rights
3 Subject to Clause 3 of the Confidentiality Undertaking, above, all copyright in your written submission, publications of which you are the author, artwork and pattern proposal included in your submission, will remain your property.
4 Subject to Clause 3 of the Confidentiality Undertaking, above, any Intellectual Property Rights attaching to your submission will vest in you at all times.
5 If Yarn does accept your submission for publication, Yarn will require you to provide the following warranties in relation to your submission:
5.1 That you have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses necessary for Yarn to publish and exploit the submission;
5.2 That you will not submit or publish the submitted material anywhere else, either print or electronic publication, while it is being considered by Yarn Magazine
5.3 That you have the right to make the submission to Yarn and that your action does not conflict with any obligations that may apply to you with another publication and/or Publisher; whether electronic or print;
5.4 That the submission:
5.4.1 Complies with all laws;
5.4.2 Will not infringe the copyright, trade mark or other legal rights of any person;
5.4.3 Will not be false or misleading but true in substance and in fact; and
5.4.4 Will not contain anything which may give rise to any cause of action by third party against Yarn.
6 ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ means all and any patents, patent applications, trade marks, service marks, trade names, registered designs, unregistered design rights, copyrights, know how, trade secrets, domain names, internet addresses, rights and confidential information and any other intellectual property rights, whether registered or unregistered, and including all applications and rights to apply for any of the same.
