Kylie Albanese lives on the NSW coast with a darling husband and 3 gorgeous kids. She believes that happiness and enjoyment of your life is what counts. A qualified graphic designer, she has worked on half a dozen magazines but this will be her baby, and she is hoping to have a YARN with a lot more friends!
Michelle Moriarty loves texture and tactile experiences. If it can be touched, smelt AND worn all the better! She lives in Lennox Head with her husband and 2 children and is an expert at knitting on the run. She likes the simple things in life and celebrates food, friends, crafts and books on a regular basis. The best thing she ever did: a 3 year mind-expanding holiday. The worst thing: picking rotten Guava’s to help pay for that 3 year holiday!
Elizabeth Watts has a Diploma in Diversional Therapy. This gave her exposure to many crafts, which fired her passion for utilizing different techniques and textures. Working with the disabled and aged made her aware that texture, colour and raw materials, can make or break your day. We expect some colourful and creative designs from her in the future. Liz is our Brisbane based Aussie/American.
Rose Long is a true Rose, and everyone loves a rose! After retiring from "Knit at Byron" Rose was looking for a challenge. She was hooked in by the YARN team, and now works from her wonderful Neutral Bay home.
Barbara Coddington was the previous editor and publisher of YARN, but now contends herself with contributing Book Reviews to the magazine. Number of kids: 2. Number of cats: 1. Estimated hours she could have spent knitting while commuting to work on the NYC subway: 1,897.
Sarah Golder lives in Adelaide with her husband Matthew and their cat Selby. Selby also is a knitting enthusiast who particularly enjoys sleeping on partly finished knits and taste-testing yarn as it is being used. He favours Sarah’s angora and lambswool jumper and is also fond of the crocheted blanket on the spare bed.
Kylie Gusset is a melbs-based soul who builds, designs, administrates and swears at websites full time, lately for the government. her knitting shenanigans started early on when grandma was desperate for something to keep her amused—enter knitting, crochet and cooking bunny-shaped pikelets. kylie’s motto is ‘when in doubt, choose pink’.
